Last year's "Fun Day", held on the 28th of June, was blessed with excellent weather (unlike previous years!) and this encouraged many people to come along and have a really good time. The Fun Day offered a variety of activities including a 5 a side football tournament, face painting and bouncy castles. The lower end of Manor Park was filled with the sound of happy children enjoying over 20 games and entertainments all at pocket money prices. A barbeque provided the fuel for all the this activity!

The Sunday Aldershot Praise Event was held in the King's Centre, where visitors and members of all the Aldershot churches joined together for a memorable time. We were all challenged and encouraged by the talk by Rev George Newton where he spoke about his vision for all the Churches working closely together on major outreach and community projects. He particularly highlighted how much more we could achieve together, compared with working individually - "the total is more than the sum of the parts". He specifically referred to the Town Centre Pastoral team and its ministry to the people of Aldershot. George's talk is available as an mp3 from the ACT website: www.act.hampshire.org.uk

Altogether the weekend was a great success giving Christians the chance to talk to the people of Aldershot and perhaps realign how people view the Church.
