The Town Centre Pastoral Team is a visible act of witnessing that has a significant impact on the town, both in ministering to individuals and in helping people to 'see' the Church at work and 'out-and-about' in our community - thus raising the awareness of the Church in the town, and making it clear what we stand for.
The team is made up of two groups: a) those who go out on the streets, and b) those who support the work through committed and regular prayer.
If you think that you would like to be part of the group that goes out onto the streets of Aldershot, whether during nighttimes or in the day (or indeed both!), please make yourself known to George asap;
If you would like to be part of the prayer support team, again please speak to George or Gwen (the new TCPT administrator -
). Obviously, the more prayer the better!
The role of the prayer support team will be to pray before or during the times when the teams are on the ground, and in response to specific requests emerging from discussions on the streets. There will also be the occasional prayer time when the whole team can get together in prayer and thanksgiving. Even if you are terrified by the thought of talking to strangers on the street, particularly late at night, we can all support this venture through prayer!
